It was a slow day
And the sun was beating
On the soldiers by the side of the road
There was a bright light
A shattering of shop windows
The bomb in the baby carriage
Was wired to the radio
These are the days of miracle and wonder
This is the long distance call
The way the camera follows us in slo-mo
The way we look to us all
The way we look to a distant constellation
That's dying in a corner of the sky
These are the days of miracle and wonder
And don't cry baby, don't cry

1st   ASP & ASP.net Free Lessons site ever!

I love ASP.net, but this site is independent & not censored by MS and NOT NOT NOT MicroSoft affiliated. (for many good reasons)  WARNING ... link above is not for the squeamish!
  • Created 1st FREE Classic ASP Lessons in 1996
when ASP classic was in beta and nicknamed Denali
  • Taught 1st public ASP classes ever before any other firms (Classic/ASP.net was in beta during our first class). Only training firm to offer 100's of FREE online lessons and FREE pre and post-class support.
  • wrote 1st FREE ASP.net Lessons Beta1 site in July 2000.
  • created AspAlliance in 97 1st online ASP community. I invented the name, idea for Ad Alliance, bought the domain, and gathered the first 20 columnists and laid out a few $100 every month since it lost money in beginning. Hence I am the "father" of the AspAlliance.(juicy gossip here).
  • I created Asplists.com in 98 (renamed as AspFriends). 1st moderated/managed lists (in past MS NNTP Help were full of SPAM and pornography). 1st to sub-divide tech topics strongly (NNTP used to be 1 forum for all of ASP.net now it is dozens and hundreds segmented by focused topics like I pioneered) MS attempted to destroy it in 2001 (juicy gossip here).
  • I created AspElite in 2001 and invited and choose the 1st regular folks to attend Seattle Building 20 ASP.net Product Previews (previously only biz partners were invited) to see non-public builds of ASP.net very early! (Building 20 Asp.net Preview Scam).
  • I created 2 .net User Groups Communities in 2003: Rockville. Maryland and &Tysons Corner,VA.
